In July of 2019, we got introduced by Travis Danklefs who used to work with Maria and now currently works with Adam. After multiple texts, we had our first date at a board game cafe and we have been together ever since.
Although we knew we were serious about each other and already had butterflies, the first “I love you” happened quite unexpectedly early on. While we were out with friends at a wonderful restaurant, Maria got quite full during the main course and gave up her blueberry dessert to Adam. He blurted out “I love you”. You could see in his eyes the immediate shock of what happened, as no “I love you” was exchanged prior to that, but Maria knew that all Maria had do is get more blueberries to hear it again. 🙂
After many wonderful dates and Maria’s return from Greece, we had to quarantine together for two weeks, which turned into more weeks and more months and years of us living together.
Our proposal story was quite fun. The official proposal happened in Paris, France, overlooking the last vineyard in Paris. Adam’s sister was his partner in crime and helped to prepare the stage for the wonderful proposal. The actual proposal happened on the interstate coming back from visiting Adam’s family, when Adam casually looked at the billboard and asked what kind of rings Maria loved. To which Maria blurted out “Why? Are you planning to propose to me in Paris?” So he had no other choice 🙂
We picked the rings together and conspired to surprise our moms with this big decision.
We are excited for what the future will hold for us. We are expecting many many wonderful years where we get to annoy each other forever. 🙂
Thank You to Our Amazing Photographer
Below are our engagement pictures, graciously taken by our wonderful friend, bridesmaid, and a professional photographer Natasha Carmichael. She is absolutely amazing in preparing a very unique experience and making you feel relaxed. She flew in all the way from Colorado to make this special moment for us. So if you ever need someone to create amazing memories for you and your family, reach out to her. You will absolutely love what she does and how she does it. If you think that we are biased because she is our friend, look at her work and you will agree that we are spot on. http://www.natashacarmichael.com/
